COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE

Know what changed, who matters, and what the evidence supports.

Evidence Axis researches public competitive signals for B2B SaaS decisions. The work starts with discovery, opens the underlying sources, separates fact from inference, and ends with a decision-ready view.

WHAT THE WORK COVERS

Competitive intelligence tied to a decision.

The scope can include competitor discovery, product and pricing changes, positioning, launches, integrations, funding or expansion signals, and the evidence behind public claims. The point is not to collect every mention. It is to determine which signals can change the decision in front of the team.

01

Competitive set discovery

Find candidates outside the names already on the team’s radar, then verify whether they belong in the set.

02

Source verification

Open the underlying pages and preserve review dates, contradictions and evidence boundaries.

03

Decision analysis

Connect product, pricing, positioning and recent moves to the specific business question.

04

Executive output

Deliver the conclusion in an executive deck with a separate evidence appendix and source register.

EVIDENCE STANDARD

Fact, Inference and Unknown stay separate.

FACT

Directly supported by a checked source.

INFERENCE

An analytical conclusion built from disclosed evidence.

UNKNOWN

Public evidence is not strong enough to claim certainty.

Vendor comparison pages and search snippets can help discovery, but they are not treated as neutral verification for material claims.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What this service is — and is not.

Is Evidence Axis a monitoring software platform?

No. Evidence Axis is a competitive intelligence and decision-support service. Ongoing monitoring is available through Competitive Radar, but the work is human-reviewed rather than an automated feed presented as analysis.

Do I need to provide a competitor list?

No. A list is useful context, but discovery is part of the method. For a Complimentary Brief, known competitors are optional.

What sources are used?

Lawful public sources. Source classes are disclosed, and material factual claims are checked against the underlying source before use.

What do I receive?

Scope varies by engagement. The Complimentary Brief normally includes an Executive Intelligence Deck and an Evidence Appendix with sources, classifications and review dates.
